Nujiang Prefecture Holds Talks with China AOPA
On June 20, 2024, Hong Weizhi, Party Secretary of Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, Vice Governor Liu Xuesong, and colleagues visited the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of China (China AOPA). Zhang Feng, Chairman of China AOPA; Liu Jianping, Deputy Supervisor; and Jiang Mouyu, Executive Secretary-General and Chairman of AOPA Capital, received the delegation and held discussions on advancing high-quality development of Nujiang’s low-altitude economy.
At the meeting, Secretary Hong outlined the prefecture’s current status, foundations, and strengths in the low-altitude economy, noting plans for a “2+M+N” low-altitude network: Lanping Fenghua General Aviation Airport and Gongshan General Aviation Airport as cores, supported by M helipads and takeoff/landing points, with innovative integration of emergency response, logistics, culture and tourism, and other scenarios to build an N-fold “low-altitude economy +” application ecosystem. Chairman Zhang Feng welcomed the visitors, introduced China AOPA’s history and low-altitude work, and pledged to leverage the association’s industry resources and platform to support Nujiang’s development.
Officials from Nujiang’s Development and Reform Commission, Culture and Tourism Bureau, Investment Promotion Bureau, and Government Office, together with business leads from AOPA Capital, attended the talks. Both sides reached initial consensus on surveying Nujiang’s low-altitude industry and jointly establishing an industry fund, aiming to promote scaled, safe, and high-quality growth of the local low-altitude economy.
