China AOPA Shines on the Global Drone Stage with Education Achievements

From May 17–20, 2023, China AOPA competed in the first FIDA World Drone Football Championship in Songdo, Incheon, Korea, finishing second among 16 teams worldwide.
Nearly 200 athletes from more than 10 countries—including China, Korea, the United States, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Spain, and France—took part.
China AOPA was invited to the event, with member company Shanghai Zhifei Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. as the executing unit. The delegation was led by Zhao Zhubao as association representative, Zhu Peng as team leader, and Wang Shaohua providing technical support. Coaches stayed with athletes around the clock for training and guidance, contributing to the strong result.
China AOPA is the sole legitimate representative of China (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) within IAOPA. The association will continue to help China’s aviation engage more orderly and effectively on the global stage and contribute as a social organization to a stronger world aviation community.
Shanghai Zhifei is a promotion partner of China AOPA’s “Dream Sky” aviation science education program and has played a prominent role in youth aviation education in recent years, with strong results in domestic competitions.
